Mac app store change download location

I am trying to buy an app from the Mac app store on my Mac Pro, but it is telling me I don't have enough room to download it into the Applications folder.

Is there no way to have it download to one of my 4 other hard drives? After searching for the answer, I'm pretty sure it is "no", but thought I would check here. I have 63 GB free on my system folder, but apparently that isn't enough to down a 30 gb game. Anyone have any idea if it is possible to change the location of apps purchased from the app store BEFORE you download them?

I offered the bounty because on our shared Mac at home I want the apps I download to only be available for my User. I also want apps bought with my Apple ID only available to my user.
